Clip ‘n Climb at the Quay wins prestigious Sports Venue Award

Clip ‘ n Climb Exeter has been voted the Best Sports Venue in Devon by the readers of Primary Times Devon!

We’re really pleased to announce that Clip ‘n Climb Exeter has been voted the most popular Sports Venue in Devon for 2017 by the readers of Primary Times Devon.  The Primary Star Awards are run by the popular magazine which is distributed to over 300 Primary Schools across the county and read by over 59,000 children and families.  The awards are distinctive in nature, due to their authenticity. They are chosen, organically, by the readers of Primary Times, namely local families with primary school aged children – thank you to each and every one of you who voted!

There were 8 different categories asking readers for their favourite: family attraction; family eating place; indoor play or activity centre; outdoor activity centre; museum or historical attraction; sports venue; party venue or entertainer; theatre or arts centre.inning an award is quite an accolade and many award winners display their certificates proudly at their venues and on their promotional material. The sports category is always hotly contested with a broad range of venues selected for consideration by readers but Clip ‘n Climb once again reached new heights and swept the board in the final count.

Damian Johnson, our Managing Director, said:  “we’re thrilled to be voted the 2017 Sports Venue of the Year Award and wish to thank your readers and their families for their continued support for Clip ‘n Climb Exeter: it’s our customers that make the centre what it is!  This year we’ve invested in a number of new elements at Clip ‘n Climb, updated our roped climbing at The Quay and relaunched our café and food menu in order to ensure that we continue to provide young people and their families with the most exciting and welcoming sports activity centre in the area!”

Linda Edwards, Publishing Editor at Primary Times said: “We are thrilled with the extraordinary response to this year’s Reader Star Award survey and we’d like to say a massive thank you to all the readers who took part. The results are sure to help other local families decide what to do and where to go. Each individual category winner deserves worthy recognition, as they are clearly offering something that our readers want.”
